Michael Weller

I’m a Dorset painter. I grew up in Bournemouth and Winchester.
I studied librarianship in Manchester and realised early on I didn’t want to be a librarian. Going to life-drawing classes cheered me up a bit. I did a degree in Fine Art, studied portraiture and was a New English Art Club drawing scholar.
I paint things around me at home, oranges, apples, a blue mug, a milk bottle, a packet of coffee. I move them round till I want to paint them.
The New English Art Club elected me to membership in 2022. I’m represented by GrandyArt in London, Tregony Contemporary in Cornwall, and Gallery Franklin in Scotland, and teach through Winslow Art Center, online, and ArtDrawPaint.
