Born in Swanage in 1971, Rebecca Lardner is a landscape artist with an eye for simplicity, colour, and personality. Much of her work depicts life on the south-west coast, showing the changing seasons, bustling life, and individual characters – human and animal! Leaving Sir John Moore’s University in Liverpool Rebecca was commissioned by Sir Paul McCartney’s Music Academy, swiftly followed by the Russ Foundation in Southern India. With prestigious titles such as the best new artist in 2008 and the UK’s Artist of the Year in 2010, Rebecca’s whimsical paintings have garnered significant attention. Rebecca Lardner’s animated harbour scenes encapsulate everything that is most charming about British coastal life and the lively impression of ceaseless everyday activity.
