Kevin Moore

Kevin Moore is a Dorset-based painter whose work explores our relationship with the natural world and the fragile beauty of life. Working predominantly in oils, he is inspired by the landscape around him and frequently paints en plein air, responding intuitively to the changing light, atmosphere and character of the places he encounters.
His current paintings focus on small, often overlooked creatures. Some are portrayed after death, creating a quiet tension between their physical fragility and their enlarged, almost iconic presence. Through expressive, confident brushwork and moments of delicate detail, Kevin explores themes of impermanence, mortality and ecological awareness.
His paintings invite us to pause and reconsider the creatures and ecosystems that surround us, transforming the seemingly insignificant into something worthy of contemplation and reverence. In doing so, his work reflects on the transient nature of existence and the interconnectedness of all living things.
Kevin studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Hull School of Art and postgraduate Art & Design Education at Goldsmiths College, University of London.
