Kevin Moore

I studied BA (Hons) Fine Art at Hull School of Art and Post Graduate Art & Design Education at Goldsmiths University of London. After pursuing a long and successful career as an art educator, I have recently taken the plunge to focus full time on my own art practice and work from my studio near Thorncombe Woods. I work mainly in oils and enjoy working en plein air as well as composing larger paintings back in the studio. Rooted in observational study, my artwork is both figurative and expressive, evoking a feeling of being caught in the moment and creating gestural marks to convey a sense of place. I was a runner up in the inaugural Art In Poundbury’s Art in the Park and I will feature as a Wild Card Artist in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024.
