Cathy Taylor

Since graduating in Fine Art in 1990, Cathy has worked in painting, printmaking and sculpting.
Whether it’s seascape, landscape, portrait or marine wildlife , her art is full of colour and texture, and often has a glint of gold or silver leaf.
Cathy looks to find a unique view of local landscapes , and when diving, gathers her own reference photos for her underwater marine scenes.
She has had work shown in various exhibitions, including the Society of Wildlife Artists, and DSWAY, both at the Mall Gallery. In the last 3 years, Cathy’s work has won 3 awards at the DACA Purbeck exhibitions, and was recently the Experienced Adult Artist winner at the Art in Poundbury Sunflowers competition.

In the studio, there is usually a portrait commission on the go, be it animals or people…. or boats!
