SENIOR UNDER 18 14-17 CATEROGY WINNER…OLIVIA L!🎉🎉 A huge congratulations to Olivia, who has won the Senior artist category! Her bedazzled painting is so striking, demonstrating creativity in medium and depiction. Judged by Lizzie Mehta, AiP team member and After School Kids Club coordinator, she notes: “Wow! This one made me lean in to make sure I could see every little bit. This collage painting is incredible. The petals have an almost feather-like quality, lifting the darkness of the colours chosen. The little rhinestones and other shaped beads also add a whimsical element. A very unusual treatment of the subject matter. Amazing!“ Olivia is awarded £50 cash, kindly sponsored by Poundbury Rotary Club, and 36 greeting cards sponsored by @art2cardprinting Well done Olivia! 🎉⭐️🐝🌻

SENIOR UNDER 18 ART COMPETITION RUNNER UP…INDI B! ⭐️🎉 We are delighted to announce that Indi B is Runner Up in the Senior 14-17 artist category! Her attention to perspective displays true artistic talent. Judged by Lizzie Mehta, AiP team member and After School Kids Club coordinator, she noted: “What a beautiful, uplifting painting! So bright and sunny, with a lightness of touch in the drawing. I could walk right into those sunflowers and feel the sun on my face! Fantastic sweeps of colour that work as a wonderful background to the detail of each sunflower plant. The perspective of the parasol and it’s shadow are really accomplished. Judged by Eli Kerr from the Poundbury Walnut Gallery @walnutgallerypoundbury , “ I’m honoured to be a part of the judging of Art in Sunflowers, hard to decide, but here are my choices and comments: A fun and vibrant painting capturing the tightly packed field of sunflowers beneath the blue summer skies with happy bees bringing the trail to life. The rich texture and uplifting colours certainly creates the perfect cheerful atmosphere at Maiden Castle farm. Judged by Eli Kerr, from the Poundbury Walnut Gallery @walnutgallerypoundbury . “I’m honoured to be a part of the judging of Art in Sunflowers, hard to decide, but here are my choices and comments: A beautifully detailed sunflower, with delicate touches including the bee, seeds, flowing petals and subtle shading. Each original artwork is £20, with proceeds supporting Arts in Hospital at Dorset Count Hospital.
