Originally from Tyneside but having relocated to Dorset some 30odd years ago, I have all but abandoned my gritty industrial northern lanscapes in oils.
Most of my work now is of still life painted with acrylics and occasionally on reclaimed hessian coffee sacks which give a deep, earthy texture. I have, however, recently succumed to popular pressure and returned to landscapes but this time with a softer, more impressionist style.
I have no formal training nor a fine art degree, but I was thrilled to have one of my paintings selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London. An honour indeed.
