IMOGEN BITTNER

My studies have all been in Fine Art but I have been using fabric, as I would paint, to build up a still life or a landscape using the colour and pattern of printed and painted textiles to create rhythm and depth in my work.
I love to experiment and try out new ideas, often painting the fabrics I use or combining them with paper.
My ideas develop from an original sketch, either a still life arrangement or from quick pencil or painted sketches of the landscape which I then take back to the studio to work on.
