I was born in South wales and now live in Dorset having lived in East Anglia for nearly 30 years.Visual stimulation from different sources, colour combinations from nature, photos,or even a piece of fabric can create ideas for inclusion in a painting. The vibrant colours, light and brightness of the Med, Australia, or the fascination of West Country fishing boats, or rolling hills of Dorset give me great pleasure and inspiration. I have a compulsive desire to paint, create, make marks and produce vivid and expressive work.I use lively surface texture and intense colours and endeavour to capture the essence of a subject, not restricted by realism. I also produce glass work, which reflects my artistic style. I have exhibited in many galleries in the UK. Bell Fine Art, Winchester with LCA, London, Coastal gallery, Lymington, with Palais des Vaches, Exbury, Fisherton Mill, Salisbury,Otter Gallery, Wimborne are now exhibiting my work. The Moreton Gallery, Moreton in the Marsh, No Naked wall, Bramley will be showing next month. White Chalk Devizes will be showing in the new year. Addenbrookes Hospital have bought 5 paintings.
