Are you easing into your Art Era? Join Art in Poundbury for some slow painting and drawing during this long, hot summer.
The Kite Festival which was to be the focus for our annual Art in the Park was called off due to inclement weather (this actually happened and was not a fever dream). The Kite Festival mark 2 is scheduled for 25 July and Art in the Park will be there. This time we are going for a relaxed feel. Bring your materials and drop in on us at the red gazebos for some art making. Everyone is welcome. We have art packs for children to borrow and an art and a wildlife activity. And there are rumours there are a couple of wild card prizes available to be awarded by our Art in Poundbury judges.
To fully enter your art era, may we invite you to Art in the Sunflowers at Maiden Castle Farm. Bring a chair, some art materials and set yourself up amongst the sunflowers. It’s a fantastic location in a world famous landscape and a real privilege to be given full access. Join us on the day or register for a place. If you need some extra encouragement to pack your pencils and join us we have some incredible prizes on offer and proceeds go to Dorset Country Hospital. Come on!
The Sunflower Trail will open from around 6 August and there are facilities including toilets, a coffee hut and a small shop.
