Charlotte Beare

Charlotte Beare is a self-taught artist based near Dorchester. She enjoys painting in a loose and impressionistic style, more concerned with capturing the essence of a subject than minutiae. She is fascinated by the interplay of colour and light, elements which are perpetually in flux. Often working ‘alla prima’, she tends to complete her paintings in a single sitting — “I paint what I see and feel in that moment. I work quickly, almost compulsively”.
