John Shone

I am drawn to nature taking my inspiration from the landscape, I explore the elements that give a place its unique qualities in terms of both its emotional and physical characteristics. I seek to paint the sense of a place.

I work in mixed media and watercolour. Much of my work is based on observation using sketching to explore ideas.
