Olivia Leadley
With roots in Poundbury, I have grown up with a love for art and expressions of creativity.
This of course, was only encouraged and further inspired by family. Particularly, my Grandparents, to with I would regularly share my sketchbook- usually over a cuppa and eccles cakes. From stick-men to my GCSE final pieces, they remained a constancy of support.
After achieving a grade 7 in GCSE Art, I spent the summer reconnecting with my much missed hobby, and decided not to pursue art any further in an academic setting.
Since participating in Art in Poundbury’s ‘Art in the Sunflowers’ Competition with some success, I have chosen to get involved in creative community events and share my artwork more.
I like working with acrylic and charcoal the most. Although, if you ask my mum she would probably say I prefer using whatever is messiest.
Either way, art has been, is and will continue to be something I deeply enjoy and wish to share!
