Sketching in pen and watercolour at events, shows, festivals, weddings, sports and in the street.
Most of my work is drawn and painted from life. I love going to events and sketching in pen and watercolour producing a unique and vibrant record of the day.
I have sketched in many places from a glorious beach in New Zealand to a penguin colony in Antartica and a small island in the Galapagos. The majority of my work features people. Sometimes relaxing and enjoying themselves, other times on big occasions such as weddings, award ceremonies and presentations. Opportunities to sketch people present themselves all the time from historical re enactments to a day on the beach.

Artist in residence to the Lord Lieutenant of Dorset
I am proud to have been offered this unique role which requires me to attend civic and community events across Dorset and to record them in my own style. I also offer workshops to schools and youth groups encouraging young people to explore their creative potential.
I believe that drawing is a skill that can be learned so I have developed a simple method to get people started drawing figures using basic tools. I have done workshops for art societies, craft groups and annually at the New Forest Folk Festival.
