Sarah Simpson

Sarah Simpson. Artist and Designer I trained at Central School of Art and Design, now Central Saint Martins. All my work is influenced by my background as a textile designer for screen printed fabrics. Recurring themes in my work are Fossils and Flowers, reflecting my love of the natural world and the coastline of Dorset, where I have lived for over 40 years. Colour is also a very important aspect to my design work. This summer I have been taking part in the En Plein Air painting days. The first day I participated in was Art in The Park at Poundbury Fields. The painting I am exhibiting is the gouache painting from that very enjoyable day. My work is multidisciplinary and includes: Paintings in Gouache and Mixed Media Giclèe Prints Screen and Lino Prints Photographic Digital Prints using Adobe Photoshop from my original Photographs and Artwork.
