Mostly my paintings have been large, hypercoloured acrylic evocations of Weymouth harbour and seafront as well as customised still lifes and portraits, however over the last two years I have been tempted outdoors into our glorious county to paint ‘en plein air’ in new to me oil paint. Going out and about with fellow members of Art in Poundbury Club and Artwey, I have found it very challenging but also extremely enjoyable and I have learnt a lot and made new friends along the way. One of my submissions is of the Great Field painted during the wonderful Big Paint Out organised by AIP and the other of the Frome water meadows as seen from a members farm.
