I’m a self-taught weaver working from my studio in Dorset.
I use a rigid heddle and a table loom to create cloths made from natural fibres, often from locally sourced fleeces that I either spin myself or have spun at Rampisham Hill Mill in Dorset.
I’m inspired by the slow and mindful nature of weaving from selecting beautifully coloured and textured fleeces to dressing the loom and creating diverse patterns and I learn something new with every weave. Once I have finished the weave, the most exciting part is unravelling and releasing the fabric to see the end product. Each weave takes between one week to three weeks for me to finish, not including any washing, carding and spinning of fleeces.
