Gerti Blaskovics

I’m Gerti Blaskovics, a self-taught artist working under the name Bg.2020. I’m currently based in Dorset, after moving here from London in early 2026.

My art is all about colour, imagination and having fun with the creative process. I love creating bold characters, detailed doodles and slightly strange, playful worlds using acrylic paint, alcohol markers, Posca pens and digital media. Most of my work develops quite spontaneously — I rarely know exactly where a piece will end up when I start, and that’s one of my favourite parts of creating.

Over the past few years, art has taken me to places I never expected. I’ve exhibited my work in London and Paris, and in 2025 I spent a month in New York City for an artist residency, taking part in exhibitions, workshops and live painting.

Since moving to Dorset, I’ve really enjoyed becoming part of the local creative community and exhibiting my work here in Poundbury.

I’m constantly experimenting, learning and developing my style, with the goal of turning my biggest passion into my full-time career.
