David Metcalff

Originally trained in ceramics I began working with woven wire to make a sculpture for my own garden. Inspired by wildlife and an interest in garden design I now create pieces ranging in size from tiny wrens to giant seed pods. My work is made by stitching together layers of wire and the finished pieces are often mounted on old tools and reclaimed wood.
