Cathy graduated with a Fine Art Degree from Stourbridge and Wolverhampton in 1990. Although predominantly a painter, she also spent the next 10 years sculpting for two local companies; one creating clay figures, and one creating cement and fibreglass aquarium habitats.
Cathy now works mainly in oils, acrylics, and watercolours, although she has been known to pick up a pastel or piece of charcoal too.

From about 2004 Cathy began to take on human and animal portrait commissions, gradually building in confidence, and often working with multiple figures, looking at how the figure(s) sits in a landscape.
Cathy’s work is about colour and texture, detail and contrasts, and how they work together to create that moment in time.
