Angela Goodman
My degree and post graduate studies were in English and Creative Writing, however as a child and teenager, I was confident, skilled and took great joy in drawing and painting. Much of my identity then was as the girl in the class who was ‘very good at Art’ and I have always been someone who sees the world through an artist’s eye, even though my creativity has usually had to flow through whatever strange outlet it could find.
I am probably too diverse in my interests – painting, illustration, print-making, 3D, fiction writing, essay writing, theatre arts, fabrics – all these have sparked joy for me, but I feel there’s not enough time to master everything. I organised an Art trail in Bath which is still ongoing and enjoyed curating a community exhibition.
I am mostly self-taught, gleaning knowledge throughout life from other artists more skilled and experienced than myself, and I am still learning.
