Join us for a day painting in the great outdoors. Whether you are an experienced artist or just starting out we encourage you to join in.
The prize lineup is exceptional, whether you are a beginner or an experienced painter there is a category for you! With kids creative activities, a lighthearted wildlife challenge, free tai chi sessions and trishaw trips around the field for those with mobility issues there is plenty to enjoy for the non painters too. .
Finn Campbell Notman (winner of Sky Landscape Artist of the Year 2023) and Jack Dickson (featured artist on Extraordinary Portraits with Bill Bailey on BBC One recently) will both be out painting and chatting on the Great Field.

Art in Poundbury will also be working with PiPs Cafe and Meeting Hub to offer some child friendly activities.
And for those of you who do not want to paint or draw we have other activities planned
“The Great Field Find the Wildlife’ challenge. A lighthearted activity led by the very talented Miles King, founder of ‘People need Nature’ – more details here.
Trishaws will be on hand to offer rides around the Great Field for anyone with mobility issues.
Also free Tai Chi sessions – just turn up – at 1pm and 3pm and lead by local business The Chi Zone – more details here.

10am to 12 noon – register with Art in Poundbury team in front of PiPs Café
Based on the Great Field paint to your heart’s content – any view that inspires you.
The Art in Poundbury desk will be manned until 4pm to help with any queries or help you may need.
Noon Children under 11 are invited to come (with an accompanying adult) and have free arty fun on the field with all materials and guidance provided by Art in Poundbury. Look out for us at the Rolls Landscaping van!
You will be sent a link with which you attach your image and return to Art in Poundbury by midday on Sunday 1st June
All winners will be announced by end of the day on Monday 2nd June 2025
