Roger Taylor

I am 75 and retired. Watercolour painting is one of my 2 main hobbies, the other is wood turning and carving. I live in a little hamlet called Coryates between Upwey and Portesham. I am driven by the desire to master the techniques of watercolour as I find the interaction of the pigments the volume of water and the wetness and angle of the paper very challenging. I have my favorite artists e.g. Peter Cronin and Karen Rice where I try to follow their you tube lessons. I attend a local art group (The Poundbury Art Group) weekly in Martinstowns and I am also a member of Art in Pounbury. I frame and mount the majority of my own painting. I am a keen touring cyclist and have organised tours in Scotland, Ireland and France.
