Jane Colquhoun
My textile work has been a means of exploring ideas around identity and belonging. In my embroideries I often represent groups of people engaged in similar leisurely pursuits such as walking or swimming. My arts training took place in Dorset and London, but I have been stitching since childhood, developing new skills along the way from various teachers. I work from my studio in Swanage and exhibit regularly in galleries around the UK.
