As part of our winter exhibition we are holding a community art day, and you are invited. It’s on 15 November from 10am to 2pm in the Jubilee Hall (at the back of the Poundbury Waitrose store).
Take part in our community art piece by making a bird to join the magnificent flock that will soar across the exhibition hall. Hundreds of birds are being made in local schools, Dorchester Youth Club, Age UK, Weldmar Hospice and elderly living communities in Dorchester and the surrounding areas. Each bird carries a Bright and Beautiful message and they will fly together as a symbol of community and hope.
Make a glass sunflower sun-catcher with Maree from Mooniglass. It’s an enjoyable and rewarding process and you’ll be able to take away your creation.
Or find out more about what Art in Poundbury does in our community and ways of getting involved. There will be volunteers on hand who will be happy to talk through some of the ways you can support our work whether you are an artist or your skills lie elsewhere.
Come along between 10am and 2pm on Saturday 15 November and be part of something Bright and Beautiful. There is no need to book or to bring materials and everyone is welcome.
