Claudia Dharamshi

I am an artist and art tutor and live in Dorset near Sherborne. Beautiful gardens and flowers, walks in nature, and patterns of foliage inspire me. Starting points for my work include sketches, archival photos and art historical references. I often combine observation and memory. Painting is an intuitive process for me.

I work in an impressionistic style, using expressive colour and energetic mark making. I aim to capture the uplifting experience of spending time in verdant and tranquil spaces.

I exhibit regularly, my work has been included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and Royal West of England Academy Open.

I offer art classes and workshops including plein air painting sessions. Commissions accepted.
