Jane Lee – DPAGB, EFIAP, BPE3, DPAGB/AV
I didn’t take photography seriously until I joined Dorchester Camera Club in 2006. My photography and processing skills were initially very basic, but my knowledge improved through my involvement with club activities and attending workshops and talks by professional photographers. I now act as a mentor to other club members to improve their processing and printing skills.
My favourite genres are creative, nature and sea/landscapes. Over recent years I have become interested in exploring different creative techniques to produce unique, impressionistic and abstract images. I have led a Creative Special Interest Group for Dorchester Camera Club for 5 years. I love to print and mount my work and use fine art papers and pigment ink to produce giclee prints.

Over the last 20 years I have been fortunate to win numerous photographic awards at club, regional, national and international level. My photographs have been included in four books including Landscape Photographer of the Year and Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (Creative Category winner in 2024). I have had prints selected by the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain for their prestigious Masters of Print Exhibitions. Only 60 photographs by 60 different photographers are chosen each year from over a thousand entries from across the country. I am one of a small number of recipients of a coveted Silver Badge for achieving 5 separate acceptances, which included two silver medals. In 2025, I was awarded Best Print in two South West regional championships.
