Claudia’s recent paintings express the joy of spending time spent amongst flowers and foliage. She been inspired by tropical plants in palm houses, subtropical gardens, and the paintings of female Victorian explorers, particularly Marianne North. The local Dorset landscape including country gardens, meadows and woodland glades, also provides rich subject matter. There is a sense of lushness and overabundance in the paintings which immerses the viewer. Claudia has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the Royal West of England Academy Open. She has an MFA from the University of Creative Arts.
