Art in Poundbury began as a local art exhibition in 2019, held at the Duchy Farmhouse and supported by the then Prince of Wales.
As interest and activity grew, it became a community interest company (CIC) in 2023. Art in Poundbury CIC brings together both the art club and a wider range of events. Run by residents of Poundbury and Dorchester and supported by local volunteers, the group now hosts the popular Winter Exhibition each November at Jubilee Hall, along with ongoing art displays at Crossroads Café and Pip’s Café.
Art in Poundbury also supports, and runs, the After Schools Kids Club at PiPs Cafe and meeting Hub.
Annual highlights include en plein air painting days and participation in the Sunflower Trail at Maiden Castle Farm, both open to amateurs and professionals alike. With a mission to make art accessible to all, the group organises workshops in schools, care homes, and community groups, as well as a regular Art and Art Lovers Social.
Profits and efforts are reinvested locally – our 2024 Winter exhibition prize draw raised over £2,000 for the Dorchester County Hospital’s Critical Care and Arts in the Hospital Appeal.

We could not do it without you. Thank you all.
