Kuhla Shine

My work is process driven, sometimes paintings, often 3D. I am concerned with several ideas around what it is to be manifest as matter, on Earth as a human being. I’m interested in transitional space, specifically the space between the seen and unseen, form and formless, with focus on the transient and ephemeral qualities of life. I particularly enjoy the idea of a promise, the anticipation of a moment to come, and the psychic and energetic dwelling of the mind within that uncertain space, and I love investigating thoughts around ‘belonging’ and ‘home’.
