Debbie Elsmore

From a young age I became a great collector and often used interesting bits found on the beach or around my parents cottage in my art work, mainly felting and mosaics. After moving to the UK I had more resources to tap into and more ideas to explore but never stopped using recycled materials where possible. In the last few years I have become more involved in mosaic and stained glass work and have been experimenting with this in different ways. My work is quite varied and I am inspired by whatever grabs me at that moment. Some of my latest work was motivated by the thoughtfulness of a Dear Friend who gave me a bag of tempered glass from her shattered oven door. This has opened up a whole new chapter in my mosaic adventure.
